Visual Arts majors at the Arts Academy devote their attention to the technical development of fundamental skills. Each student takes classes in drawing and design and selects among electives in sculpture, printmaking, and painting. All students participate in figure drawing workshops that are conducted twice each year. Two exhibitions are held annually including a juried exhibition in the fall. |
The Visual Arts faculty works closely with students through a college preparatory process that emphasizes the complete development of each student’s portfolio. Seniors traditionally garner significant merit awards from the nation’s most competitive arts colleges. |
