Buck Blue

Buck Blue has been working as the Technical Director/Production Manager for The Chicago Academy for the Arts since 2004.
He is a Member of the Illinois Theatre Association and the CAA representative to the USITT (United States Institute for Theater Technology) He also works for Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music, as the Production Manager for the Opera Program. A position he has filled since 2013. Buck was an Ensemble Member and Technical Director for Signal Theatre Ensemble, during which time he was nominated for a Jeff Award in Scenic Design. Buck has been contributing to Chicago theatre since 1999. Other notables include acting as a founding member of Quest Theatre Ensemble, working as Technical Director/Production Manager for Indiana State University’s Crossroads Repertory Theatre, The American Theatre Company, Quest Theatre Ensemble, Lookingglass Theatre Company, Sky Line Stage, and Chicago Theatre for Young Audiences. He also free-lanced for Open Eye, About Face Theatre, Harpo Studios, and many others.
