Supporting the Academy

For 25 years, talented young artists throughout Illinois have enrolled in The Chicago Academy for the Arts to earn their high school diploma and to pursue their dreams of becoming actors, dancers, musicians, artists, and filmmakers. Under the tutelage of professional artists and educators, Arts Academy students excel in their chosen disciplines.

Ways to support the Arts Academy:

Annual Fund

Donation to the Annual fund goes for the school's yearly operating expenses. Annual fund gifts help make up the difference between tuition revenue and the costs of running the school. Annual fund gifts are a vital part of sustaining the Arts Academy's unique environment through supporting teachers' salaries, purchasing necessary supplies, and funding important academic programs.

Endowment

Gifts to the endowment help ensure the schools future and take pressure of our yearly operating budget in perpetuity. The principal amount of the gift remains whole, while the interest earned from the gift is used to enrich academic programs, fund faculty salaries and support other important Arts Academy programs.

Scholarship

Nearly 50 percent of Arts Academy students rely on scholarship support to attend the school. Gifts for scholarships help maintain the Arts Academy's ability to admit talented young artists to the school, regardless of their ability to pay. Scholarships support also plays a role in creating a diverse student body as the school.

For nearly fifty percent of these students, attending the Arts Academy is an opportunity made possible only by the generous support of our donors. This support also plays a key role in ensuring a diverse environment as nearly sixty percent of students of color receive financial support. Scholarships are granted to students who have demonstrated talent and financial need.
