Join us April 19-21 and April 26-28 for the Musical Theatre Department's spring musical "A Man of No Importance"! "A Man of No Importance" is written by Terrence McNally, Lynn Ahrens, and Stephen Flaherty, the Tony Award-winning team behind "Ragtime". It tells the story of Alfie Byrne, a bus conductor in 1963 Dublin with the heart of a poet who is struggling with a secret he can barely admit to himself. When he’s not driving his bus route, Alfie pursues his artistic passion and directs plays for a local community theatre troupe in a church hall. When he attempts to stage a production of Oscar Wilde's controversial play Salome, art and life collide. The original Lincoln Center production won the 2003 Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical.

Academy musicians Adam, Declan, and Matthew have been chosen to play at @andysjazzclub every Saturday from April 6 to June 8 as a part of their new weekend series! The gig is 11am-2pm, and the trio will be hosting a jam session every week, in which all other students are invited to participate and play/sing each week.

This is an incredible opportunity, as we will be the only high school holding down a steady spot at a famous jazz club in Chicago. Andy's is truly legendary, and they are very excited to host us! It is also an incredible networking experience for all our students, as it will put them at the top of their field for their age group, as true young leaders in the jazz community in Chicago.

We hope to see you there!
