The Aliens
Annie Baker's The Aliens premiered Off-Broadway in 2010, and won the Obie Award for Best New American Play.
Two young men sit behind a Vermont coffee shop and discuss music, relationships, and the writings of Bukowski. When a lonely high-school student arrives on the scene, they decide to teach him everything they know. A play with music about friendship, art, love, and death.
Nick Spallone will perform the role of Evan on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m.
Mark Cristofanilli will perform the role of Evan on Friday at 3 p.m. and Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Wolves
One of the most-talked about new plays of the 2016 Off Broadway season, Sarah DeLappe's The Wolves opened to wildly enthusiastic acclaim, including two sold-out, extended runs at The Playwrights Realm and a transfer to Lincoln Center Theater.
The Wolves follows nine teenage girls as they warm up for their indoor soccer games. From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, the team navigates big questions and wages tiny battles with all the vim and vigor of a pack of adolescent warriors. As the teammates warm up in sync, a symphony of overlapping dialogue spills out their concerns. By season's and play's end, amidst the wins and losses, rivalries and tragedies, they are tested and ready - they are The Wolves.
