Chris Arnold has been involved in arts education for 14 years. His career started at The Chicago Academy for the Arts as Chair of the Theatre Department, as well as teaching English.
He just completed five years teaching Speech & Drama Teacher at Deerpath Middle School in Lake Forest, IL. In addition to teaching and being in charge of after-school drama activities, Chris was committed to using his theatre training to help teachers in the district infuse the arts into Core Education. At Deerpath, Chris was twice honored with receiving the award for Innovative Teaching Practice. He has worked as a teaching artist for Overton High School in Memphis Tennessee, The Old Town School of Folk Music, Hands Together Heart to Arts (Auditorium Theatre at Roosevelt University), and the Mosaic Program (American Theatre Company). Chris has a BS in Acting from Illinois State University. An MFA in Directing from The University of Memphis. A MAT in Secondary Education and a Type 75 in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.
