Bringing over 15 years of development experience to The Chicago Academy for the Arts, Judith leads the Development Department’s vision and goals, and fosters relationships with individuals, foundations and corporations to advance the mission of The Academy. Judith joined the Academy in March 2016.
Prior to The Academy, Judith headed development at Amandla Charter School in Englewood, the Renaissance Schools Fund which launched over 60 charter schools on Chicago’s south and west sides. She worked as a Director of Development at Children’s Memorial Foundation during the quiet phase of the campaign to build the new hospital and Associate Director of Development for the Chicago International Film Festival. Her career began as a Teach for America corps member where she served as a High School English teacher in Los Angeles, followed by a stint in independent film production in New York and Los Angeles. Judith earned a Master’s in Public Policy with a business management concentration from Columbia University and received her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
