Lauren Benoist

Mental Health Counselor

Lauren is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. She brings years of clinical experience in working with teens and young adults in school, clinical, and collegiate settings.

She has a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Penn State University and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Roosevelt University. She also currently works as a core faculty member at Adler University, where she teaches courses in counseling and supervises clinical trainees. She has worked in both public and private school settings in addition to outpatient community health centers in Chicago and Pennsylvania. 

She is dedicated to advocating for and being present for young adults in their personal growth. Her expertise is in combining her knowledge of social and emotional wellness with the utilization of student-identified strengths to assist in navigating the complicated terrain of identity development and well-being.
