Lesley Skousen earned her PhD in history from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Her dissertation explored the cultural impact of legal history in reshaping power and authority during the English Reformation.
After graduating, she designed the history curriculum as the founding humanities teacher at an international boarding school in Princeton. She often works as an educational consultant designing online course curriculum for international schools, educational companies, and universities. Dr Skousen has a lifelong love of the arts. Her passion began at the Interlochen Arts Academy as a music composition major. Since then, she has supported musicians, dance companies, theatre troops, playwrights, and podcasts. Her own podcast is called Footnoting History and can be found on iTunes. She has lived in four countries and visited nearly 40, but Chicago is her home city.
