Come shadow an arts department of your choice. Take classes and become familiar with Academy students and faculty.
Each fall, The Chicago Academy for the Arts welcomes prospective students to be a part of The Academy experience through a Shadow Day. Interested 8th, 9th, and 10th Graders are given the opportunity to get a real understanding of what it’s like to hone their artistic skills here at The Academy by observing and participating in a regular afternoon of arts classes.
Students can participate in as many Shadow Days as they need to get an understanding of our six unique disciplines and which program is the best fit for their application. Students should plan to arrive to The Academy at 1:15 p.m. and the day will conclude at 4:30 p.m.
Fall 2017 Shadow Days can be scheduled on a personal basis through the Admissions Office.
