The Academy offers ten Advanced Placement (AP) courses and eight honors-level courses to students by teacher recommendation only. Additionally, students in English courses may earn honors credit by earning a grade of at least 95% during the semester.

Students at The Academy have a full academic course load, three hours of arts classes daily, and frequent after-school exhibits, rehearsals, and performances. Due to their demanding schedules, students typically can take no more than four AP courses during their high school career.
