Honoring a Legacy: Brian Vogel (Music ’93)

The Brian Vogel Memorial Scholarship was established in the early 2000s to honor the life and legacy of Brian Vogel (Music ’93), a passionate musician whose time at The Academy transformed his life.

For years, this scholarship has helped open The Academy’s red doors to students who may not otherwise have had the opportunity to attend. It has expanded access for young artists who, like Brian, needed a place where their creativity and individuality could be both challenged and celebrated.

Through the generosity of those who have given in Brian’s memory – and especially his parents, Paul and Christine – Brian’s impact continues to be felt in rehearsal rooms, studios, and on stages across our school. Each recipient carries forward not only their own artistic dreams, but a legacy of opportunity made possible by Brian.

“The Academy changed Brian’s life; he was a different person from day one. He was able to realize his artistic abilities and become who he really was. His dedicated teachers were able to motivate him to do the academic work and do it well. When he graduated, he was truly empowered as a musician.” – Paul Vogel, Brian’s Dad

Every gift made to our scholarship fund – whether in Brian’s memory or in support of broader efforts – directly increases access for students who are ready to join our Academy community. Your gift ensures that more students will have access to the life-changing experience that changed Brian’s life, and the lives of so many other young artists.

Please consider a gift in support of student scholarship at The Academy. Your support today helps build a future full of vibrant, dynamic art for artists like Brian! Donate online today.
