NBC Chicago: Chicago Students Publish Their Music
Students at the Chicago Academy for the Arts created and produced a CD with their own music after raising nearly $3,000 to fund the project. NBC 5's LeeAnn Trotter reports.

Annual Fundraising Gala 2016
The Chicago Academy for the Arts welcomed over 200 guests to the Chicago Athletic Club Hotel on Saturday for its annual fundraising Gala “Movers, Shakers, Art Makers.” The Academy’s 2016 Fundraising Gala is its largest fundraising event of the year and included performances by students in all six arts departments in addition to a live and silent auction.

Chicago native Neil Tesser hosted a lecture for Academy music students this month. His experience as a jazz writer and saxophonist provided students with advice and encouragement about music journalism and a career in jazz.
