This Sunday, The Academy opens its doors as the proud venue host of Chicago School GPS's "Hidden Gems" Public & Private High School Fair, an afternoon to help families cast a wide net and discover the schools that might be the perfect fit for their student.

Over 35 public, private, and boarding high schools and resources will be on hand to share what makes them unique, alongside helpful vendors and breakout sessions (starting at 2pm) for middle school families on topics like navigating private and public admissions, entrance exams (CPS HSAT, HSPT, ISEE), and private school scholarship opportunities.

And while you're here, come see The Academy for yourself! Starting at noon, join us for a tour of our building and learn how our co-curricular model brings together rigorous college-preparatory academics and pre-professional arts training. At The Academy, students don't have to choose between a serious academic education and world-class arts training. They get both, with studio time and the classroom carrying equal weight across our six departments: Dance, Media Arts, Music, Musical Theatre, Theatre, and Visual Arts.

Whether your student is a performer, filmmaker, visual artist, musician, dancer, or storyteller, or simply a young creative still figuring out where they belong, this is a great chance to explore your options and see what makes The Academy one of Chicago's most distinctive high schools.

Admission to the fair is $20 per family with pre-registration ($30 at the door), and need-based vouchers are available upon request through Chicago School GPS.
